The name “antelope” is a common term used to represent the many species of antelopes that are found in Africa and Asia. Here, our tall antelope based on the black buck antelope which is native to India and Nepal, comes beautifully detailed capturing the poise and grace of these fast moving animals. The Black Buck Antelope has a unique set of horns that twist or corkscrew one to four times along the length of the horn. A trophy Blackbuck will have a horn length of up to 18 inches while some older bucks are known to grow their horns to lengths of 24 inches or greater. In the United States, states such as Texas which have warmer climates, have been successful in importing the black buck antelope.
