The eagle is a beautiful bird but it is one of the fiercest birds known to mankind. One of the reasons eagles have such a keen vision is because they have more cones than humans in their eyes. Cones are light detecting cells that are sensitive to color. Eagles have about one million cones per square millimeter while humans have only about 200,000.
