Venus de Milo was discovered in 1820 on the island of Melos. It remains a graceful and beautiful sculpture that has mesmerized man since its discovery. The sculpture which is possibly based on the Goddess Aphrodite was possibly created during the late Hellenistic period judging by the fall of the drapery on the hips and its positioning in space.
Here, our sculptor creates a fine rendition of the Venus de Milo for a display in the home or garden. The sculpture comes beautifully detailed and will surely add a statement wherever it is placed.
