Our Bronze See No Evil Monkey Statues on a Branch is based on the Three Wise Monkeys that stand in the Toshogu shrine in Japan. These monkey statues appear to be showing the famous proverbial adage - See No Evil, Speak No Evil and Hear No Evil". The three monkeys are Mizaru, covering his eyes, who sees no evil; Kikazaru, covering his ears, who hears no evil; and Iwazaru, covering his mouth, who speaks no evil.
