Crowing is the sign of a rooster although hens could be known to crow as well.It is said that roosters begin crowing as early as four months of age. Many countries including the United States, Indonesia and Japan hold rooster crowing contests to gauge the duration of the rooster's crowing or the number of times a rooster takes to crowing within a specific time.
