A monumental sculpture, our Life Size Bronze Sculpture of the Gloria Victis - 101”H is truly a marvel! Antonin Mercie created the Gloria Victis as a tribute to the French who lost the Franco-Prussian war. He sculpted an angel holding a soldier with his head cast down. He also showed a broken sword to reflect the defeat of the French. Our life size monumental Gloria Victis sculpture bears a vintage look, and comes beautifully detailed with a hand painted Patina finish and will make a fine classical addition to a park, restaurant or garden.
