Also known as the Virgin of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Guadalupe is a title given to recognize the Marian apparition that occurred at Tepeyac Hill in Mexico City in 1531. The Blessed Virgin Mary was said to have been in contact with a simple Mexican farmhand, Juan Diego and had appeared to him four times to seek his help in building a church in her name.
