Alex is quite the reader and is intent on finishing up the book that his grandparents presented him for his birthday. He lies down with his back facing the front and holds the book with his two hands as shown in the picture. This is a wonderful sculpture to add to the garden. It can also be used to add meaning to the library as it shows the importance of reading.
