When James Earle Fraser created the beautiful End of the Trail sculpture, he had many impressions about the way he would project the Red Indian who took a ride aboard his horse. The sculpture is influenced largely by Fraser's childhood experiences living in the American frontier as he saw many Indians being displaced with the westward expansion efforts of their neighbors. Here, our artist creates a reproduction of the End of the Trail sculpture in bronze for a beautiful place in the living room.
It is said that Fraser created many sculptures including several bronze castings of the End of the Trail. The 1915 version however remains on exhibit at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City,, Oklahoma. Cast in bronze using the ancient lost wax process, our End of the Trail sculpture comes beautifully detailed with vivid and pristine details.
Bronze on marble base.
