Hans Christian Andersen was a successful writer who wrote "The Little Mermaid" which told of the story of a young mermaid who had fallen in love with the human prince she chose to save. Today, a statue of the Little mermaid can be seen in Copenhagen, Denmark to mark the popularity of the story told to the world.
Our large mermaid emerges from the waves holding a conch shell that is designed to send water into the pond or pool. She comes accompanied by two dolphins as shown in the image.
