Mermaids have long intrigued men and many cultures have perceived their own ideas about what they are. Some see them as perilous signs and that to see them means a ship wreck or drowning is nearby. Others see them as benevolent creatures who can grant boons to humans.
Our mermaid sculpture comes beautifully detailed and is seen with three dolphins. She holds one of the dolphins and sends water down into a water feature such as a pond or pool.
