Pelicans are known to have an average life span of about 10-25 years in the wild. This bird is easily detectable because of its famous pouch under its throat. Pelicans use this to fish and store their food.
Our pelican appears to be taking some time off as it rests atop a piling. The statue comes beautifully detailed and has a patina finish.
